Clean a Drive via Command Prompt

Open the search bar, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.


Type diskpart and press Enter.


Type list disk and press Enter to see a numbered list of all drives.


Locate the correct drive number (be extremely careful not to choose your primary system drive) and type select disk X (replacing X with your drive’s number), then press Enter.


Type clean all (or just clean) and press Enter.
