Enable Settings in VirtualBox Manager

  • Power off your virtual machine completely.
  • Open Settings > General > Advanced.
  • Set Shared Clipboard and Drag and Drop to Bidirectional.
  • Click OK and start the virtual machine. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Install or Reinstall Guest Additions

  • For Windows Guests: Click on Devices > Insert Guest Additions CD Image in the top menu, open “This PC” inside the guest, run the installer (VBoxWindowsAdditions), and reboot.
