Inject Drivers into ISO
1. For Windows (DISM)
You can manually inject drivers into the boot.wim file of your Windows ISO using the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool. [1]
- Download the correct drivers (
.inf,.sys, and.catfiles) for your hardware. - Mount the Windows ISO and copy
sources\boot.wimto a temporary folder on your local drive (e.g.,C:\Temp\images). - Open a Command Prompt as Administrator and create a temporary folder to mount the image:
mkdir C:\Temp\mount - Mount the
boot.wimimage:dism /mount-wim /wimfile:C:\Temp\images\boot.wim /index:2 /mountdir:C:\Temp\mount
(Note: index 2 usually represents the WinPE environment). - Inject the driver using the Add-Driver command:
dism /image:C:\Temp\mount /add-driver /driver:C:\Path\To\Driver.inf /recurse - Commit the changes and unmount the image:
dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:C:\Temp\mount /commit - Replace the original
boot.wiminside your iVentoy ISO folder with this newly modified WIM file. [1]
