Bypass Microsoft email requirement

To bypass the Microsoft email requirement during Windows 11 setup, use the OOBE\BYPASSNRO command to create a local account. This is done by interrupting the setup process, which forces you to connect to the internet. Microsoft has attempted to block this method in some Windows Insider builds, but users have confirmed it still works on most current versions.

Step 1: Reach the network screen

Proceed with the Windows 11 installation until you reach the “Let’s connect you to a network” screen.

Step 2: Open Command Prompt

While on the network screen, press Shift+F10 on your keyboard to open the Command Prompt.

Step 3: Run the bypass command

In the Command Prompt window, type the following command and press Enter:
oobe\bypassnro

Step 4: Restart and continue setup

The system will automatically restart. When it boots back into the setup process, you will once again see the “Let’s connect you to a network” screen, but this time, a new option will be available.

Step 5: Create a local account

  1. On the network screen, click “I don’t have internet.”.
  2. On the next screen, click “Continue with limited setup.”.
  3. You will then be prompted to create a local user account. Enter a username and password to continue the installation without a Microsoft account.
